Pride and vanity

It's interesting how often pride is called vanity and vanity pride.

Wiki loves pride.

Undoubtedly so, without pride there wouldn't be a single Wikipedia page worth looking at.

On the other hand, if the pride parade really was a pride parade, it'd look more like the carnival in Rio. Or perhaps van Gogh's paintings would be paraded around. Or a marching band would play Tchaikovsky.

Although, if it was a march of people flipping everybody off, it would be a pride of sorts parade as well.
