Had Christ defied the Roman occupiers and defeated them, what would He have gained but subjects who bow in fear?
When the yearning for the Heavenly Kingdom gripped the people in the 15th century, John let them know that there were souls, who still had to pursue it like they did (Revelation 6:11).
Christ gave us time, a history of counting by the seals and trumpets 1000 years (starting with the first seal in 1066, reaching the sixth trumpet in 2003).
Time to get to know the Holy through our pursuit of it. Time to bow to Christ in appreciation. Time to understand the way that God has intended for us.
