Ethics
Ethics based on heed demand the completion of the form and thus allow the completion of the duty, but an animal's completion it is, for it is the obedience of the law of the species: it doesn't judge what's just, but which path we are prepared to take.
Ethics based on care on the other hand demand the consideration of the consequences and hardly ever allow one to regard one's duty fulfilled.
It is from this, whence both the inconsistency of suppression and the contortion of justice spring, both prices being paid, the former for survival, the latter for the grace of God.
The Revelation is very much about this, the ultimate text on the historicality of God's grace, the protracted, contorted path of those, who keep Christ's words.
