A corollary to alliances built on anti-americanism

Whoever displays it more openly has the moral right to lead them.

I was watching the ASAP Rocky video from the incident in Stockholm and apart from being reminded of a character from the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode The Big Goodbye I was left with the feeling that these people were amazed to see the fabled creature in the flesh, the American, and that they took the struggle against his nation to be the foundation of their social recognition in a foreign land. Why did the whiny guy get them to stick around? Not on his authority for sure. There must have been a principle involved and I don't think that it was just rewarding his loyalty. The atmosphere was too much that of wolves circling a bear.

In their perspective then their European hosts are auxiliary troops, as of much value to them as the Germans were to Napoléon on his chase after Russian food rations or as the Romanians were to Hitler on his attack on Stalingrad. And as long as anti-americanism is used to create the bond between the hosts and the guests this perspective will have to be honoured. I do feel the deepest revulsion against this diplomatic craftsmanship and I don't consider this kind of arrangement viable. If this is meant to carry, the architect is a fool.
