It's almost comical in a way: Steamboat Geyser is right now on track to set a very impressive annual record, but it may never show in the annual statistics, because this development started on May, 8th, this year.

Anyway, two records that were set today:

1. 12 consecutive eruptions that occurred within 6 days of the previous one,
2. 17 eruptions in the space of 83 days and 4 minutes.
