The true role of the media

Although of little benefit for the masses, Amanda Lear is at least for me the perfect antidote to the changes that the notion transvestite has undergone, because she is firstly in a ruling position in this field and secondly because she is staying clear of the human angle and focuses on the notions she evokes, something that Karl Lagerfeld also manages reasonably well.

And this in turn is important, because the classical notion of a transvestite is the perfect metaphor for television.

So, after the last post it literally hit me: All the media does is to hammer associations into our heads in order to dress us in its chosen drag, lest we show our natural colours to each other.

And they, the transvestites, used to relish this precisely, that they could influence whom and what people would adore. They are the natural connaisseurs of the game they play in the talk shows, deciding, whom to let appear witty, original, fashionable. It is their psyche institutionalised.

Truly, that Nero shall return is wondrous, who these days has the background of Tiberius und Caligula having done before him, what they did, and he now has to pick up in his own way?

And how would anybody approaching Nero would be accepted by the people, who have not witnessed those before him?

But the media is working on it while I write these words. Votes showing up in Florida, elections the results of magic tricks. A paranoid president needs a paranoid people. If this is a response to the Sessions firing, it makes no sense. By stirring paranoia, you lend credibility to paranoid accusations. I went and looked what Trump said on the subject. He seems incensed. Had he been quiet, I'd have thought, he's behind it himself, knowing that it serves his legal offensive. So, it's probably another spider in the center of the web, but a spider there clearly is.
