Competing shows?

I've been noticing recently that political talking heads these days really have a problem with keeping a straight face. Why all the merriment?

Of course, too many possibilities to approach the question from this direction.

On the other hand, if there's a conflict between the Leviathan and the Behemoth playing out in the United States, it would manifest itself in the public sphere in an election year. There might be a fight over a political issue. Or there might be theatre productions that are being staged for the benefit of one side or the other.

In my analysis the corona virus pandemic plays into the hands of the Leviathan and the Black Lives Matter protests into the hands of the Behemoth, almost in a pedagogical fashion. But it would be a political mistake, if the Behemoth trusted the production that it controls, for the other is more important by several orders of magnitude.

If Trump fails to handle the pandemic competently, he'll suffer for it come November.
