The first and the last sin
Slander is the first and the last sin, the first, because it requires the least, and the last, because once a society is satisfied with lies about its constituents, there's no end to the offences that are given to the little ones, whose angels always behold the face of God. Verily, by reining in a sin, it becomes a trifle of little consequence, but if it is left unchecked, it begs for God's judgment. Many sins have been unleashed since the world was divided between Spain and Portugal, but they had to pay for their reign and were able to do so for a while, yet now the peoples of the world embrace slander hoping that it pays for how long?
