The end of creative destruction

Creative destruction is the rule of reason over those who are able to cope with deliberate destruction. The tools of destruction are provocateurs, commentators and modernisers and the rule of reason is expressed in the following hexagram:

Nine in the third place means.
A good horse that follows others.
Awareness of danger,
with perseverance, furthers.
Practice chariot driving and armed defense daily.
It furthers one to have somewhere to go.
Six in the fourth place means:
The headboard of a young bull.
Great good fortune.

Six in the fifth place means:
The tusk of a gelded boar.
Good fortune.
That is to say a candidate has to prove his worth by healing the inflicted wound, he then must be shown his limits and finally he must learn to appreciate the benefits of service.

Those who apply creative destruction probably do it, because it works. These days they live in New York, before that they lived in Venice*. They love the levelness of water, ever restoring itself, not the surf.

That is not to say that they wouldn't have any strategic interests, they are leviathanic and godless, but they are defined by the method of their survival.

They will bleed a body as long as it recovers. They will control each faction as long as they hold the middle. And they will rule as long as experience bows before them.

Right now, the body isn't recovering anymore. It doesn't try to heal the wound, it abandons it. And experience is becoming increasingly critical of them. They could just as well give up the middle, but they won't. They will try to find another body. They can move much. But their time is up.

* If I read Plato correctly, they go all the way back to Sais:
