Whispering into the noise

On the one hand those, who don't believe in God,
on the other believers, who leave the reasoning to them,
hoping perhaps for a sunny day
on which to indulge their feelings.
It is not the season for such frivolity,
serious matters are afoot,
even if they seem
born out of the mist of dreams.
A cow is pleasant, of its milk much use,
honour her and befriend her friends,
but attention has turned to the cheese that rolls out
of everyone's hand and chases it ever farther away.
Who will stick with what he's learned
about the shape of life
about its role
about the current of its flow?
