What does R.E.M. stand for?

The advent of a generation that was motivated by what previous generations enjoyed. The Doors were motivated by new venues to enjoy life, Alice Cooper (e.g. Billion Dollar Babies) by the eternal ones, they went to the roots, R.E.M. on the other hand for the fruits.

Because making is hard and taking is easy, an outrageous appetite in a generation must go hand in hand with concealed opportunism undermining the common good, or, as I've described it before, with cynicism (if the Cynics knew!)

Instead of revealing what is being concealed, George Soros is courting cynics to join his firebrand, thus accelerating the detrimental effects of cynicism in a grotesque attack on material and immaterial pillars of social stability, i.e. district attorneys and marriage, among other things like the police, courtesy, respect and so on.

If you look at the Kyle Rittenhouse trial, you can clearly see that the court system itself is under attack. And if you look at the abuse of the reconciliation of different ideals by inserting openly destructive ideas into the mix, you can clearly see that dialogue is under attack as well.

No courts, no dialogue means a purge. Oddly though the attack is not accompanied by the establishment of purgelike virtues, making the purge likely a transitory thing. Besides, the spiritual steadfastness associated with a purge is sterile anyway, sprouting being tender.

Or what do you see? Just a tendency, just a current? The next chapter seems written, I only wonder when and how sight will drive out imagination.
