Translating Mephistopheles

Part of the Power which would
Do evil constantly, and constantly does good.
Now, before we start  big discussions about the value of reading poems in the original vernacular, let me propose a different translation for
Ein Teil von jener Kraft,
Die stets das Böse will und stets das Gute schafft.
namely
A part of forces arrayed,
Who aim for bad, but good they bait.
That is so neat, you'd think the German is translated.
