It must have awoken their curiosity,
walking in circles around the column for hours,
now they lift off and follow me,
do the shoppers even notice the cloud,
setting and lifting from tree to tree?
walking in circles around the column for hours,
now they lift off and follow me,
do the shoppers even notice the cloud,
setting and lifting from tree to tree?
The same readiness with which a man seizes the opportunity when it presents itself to him frustrates his efforts to choose what he might savour later. How many a young man looks at the world and asks himself what could be done to make it a more homely place?, but he doesn't even know yet what he's like and likes. It is not for want of examples, it is for want of understanding their dependencies that would spell out the task to care for what's dear to his heart.
So let us not belittle the silent moment, the pause one takes to assess: Where do I stand? Which ways go forth from here? And how do they differ in recompense? Which of them lends itself to which charge? And what am I charged with? Perhaps then one begins to understand.
Others get caught up in details, want to find answers to questions that haven't posed themselves yet. They must step back and consider the purpose, leaving the way in which it's achieved for another time. Thus a man becomes distinct - where everything is possible, nothing is settled, but when the current piece of the puzzle falls into place, so shall the next.
So ask yourself now, do you want to flow with the crowd or uncover your own home?
