Monism and dualisms

Monism is the belief that all transcendent entities (God, circle of the living, existence) are connected in such a way that God has given man access to him through man's notion of the holy so that man can consciously take his place in the order of existence by acting upon that notion. Likewise access to the circle of the living is granted to all life forms so that they can sentiently join life's movements as is ordained for them in the order of existence. And lastly everything exists in the tension of existence, and sometimes men and other life forms become aware of it, again in agreement with the order of existence.

Two forms of dualism arise by restricting God's influence on the other two transcendent entities. If you consider God to be connected with the circle of the living, but not with existence, you get gnosticism, that is the idea that men are essentially too good for this world and should hence turn inward in anticipation of the bliss that is awaiting them once they're freed from the bonds of existence.

And if you consider God to be separate from the other two entities, man's existence is grounded in himself, and hence the divine guidance becomes a ticket to some other place, but then again, you may get yourself a ticket to yet a third place, that is if you don't consider yourself an extension of God, God takes on an exterior existence and so does his opposite, the devil.

I always felt that the idea that man creates a garden around himself by his work in the midst of wilderness already captures the essence of monism.
