How much there is there?

I already said before that the less of a real problem you have, the more difficult it is to get rid of it, be it that you think that people look at you in a funny way or there's something evil hanging over a place. I wonder whether in such a situation it helps to collectively drill a hole into our heads, like, well, nothing's changed, but it must be o.k. now, because there's really nothing more to do.

Yes, we're talking science, the superhero kind, in which experts don't struggle with problems, but solve them with their superpowers. For the record, it took mankind (Leonhard Euler) until 1755 A.D. to find the equations that govern the flow of ideal fluids and (Claude-Louis Navier and George Gabriel Stokes) until 1845 A.D. to allow for viscosity, thus for the first time establishing a set of equations that, when solved, allow the prediction of the flow of water. Many an expert of mathematics has since tried to solve these equations, but to no avail. You could say it seems almost as hopeless as finding a vaccine against the flu.

Yes, vaccine vendors have made some very optimistic estimates as to the effectiveness of their vaccines, but I think it is a business practice, this, like, sure, we can build that bridge for 10 million dollars, well, turns out we need some more, well, no need to complain, it only cost 50 million after all. Before even touching scientific questions our experience with the flu should lead us to believe that if the vaccine works, it'll only do so for a season.

Now, at this point it's probably all about the drilling a hole into your head thing, and the only choice is to either accept the penance, that the god with a hole in his head might be placated that we've forsaken our good looks, or to pull some pants down. Still, apart from the obvious, that every man is entitled to his own mistakes, and no man can claim the right to make mistakes for another man, not even in war, just see how that turns out when it occurs, I'll add two observations concerning the difference between natural and artificial immunity.

Firstly, we are an indigenous species on this planet. We need no breathing equipment, we need no body enhancement. Taking vaccines annually, no matter what the vaccines, disturbs the natural workings of our immune system. That is, we're taking an evolutionary path towards self-exilement.

Secondly, natural immunisation is individual, artificial immunisation is uniform. When a virus mutates in a naturally immunised person, it is only able to evade his individual immune system. But when a virus mutates in an artificially immunised person, it is able to evade the immune system of all the people who've received the same immunisation.

As I said, you can convince a skinhead that he should beat up people who don't want the vaccine (because he loves it and has no impulse control), but under what conditions would someone who has an interest in a healthy population sign on to an open ended vaccination program that is designed to breed one generation of viruses after the other?

At the utmost such a person would support to drill a hole into everybody's head in order to have closure. Only, will there be closure? Obviously, the next wave is feared despite the vaccination program. And when it all fails, will there be resignation or will there be another vaccine?

Postscript from August 27, 2021. Someone walked the walk: www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2021.08.24.21262415v1.full.pdf (published August 25, 2021). So, vaccines fail you 27 times as often against the delta variant as natural immunity does. You know, logic, first principles... science, if you like.
