Controlling knowledge and its application.

As we progress, knowledge emerges from the sea of ignorance like a volcanic island:
as it gains in height, so it does in breadth.
Hence, what was once known only to a few draws ever wider circles.
Will we then attempt to reverse the flow of time?
And how can we control its application?, unless we know of it.
Will we then survey everything?
And if that doesn't meet with general approval,
will we reshape the world to fit our ability by removing our knowledge from it?
